Hi friends,

I never thought that one day I would need to write a post on “Friendship” but due to some circumstances which happened recently I decided to post a special article about Friendship. Let’s start with a definition of friendship from wikipedia:

Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more beings. This article focuses on the notion specific to interpersonal relationships. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis.

I know that this definition is a bit too technical but I like it as it is almost a complete one. Let’ analyse this! Some of the important words we need to focuss on are co-operative, supportive, mutual knowledge, esteem, affection, rendering service, times of need and crisis.

What do I expect from my close friends?

I have many friends but from that hundreds of friends cohort, I want to dedicate this part to my best and really close friends. This is what I expect from you guys and gurls:

  • Co-operation
  • Support
  • Mutual knowledge (sharing and knowing each other)
  • Esteem
  • Affection
  • Rendering Service
  • Being here in times of need and crisis

Why do I have many friends and want to have more?

Recently a friend of mine told me, it’s wrong to have so many friends. I don’t know why he said so, but for me it’s not the case. Having many friends for me is something really great. I get to meet many different types of people of different character, of different way of thinking. This improves my personality and helps me to deal and adapt with different type of people in work, at university or even in church. Every time there would be a concert or a celebration where I would be given great responsibility, I would need to lead and supervise many people and this is one of the place where having many friends helps me.

Why should you have many CLOSE AND BEST friends?

The bible says

Ecclésiaste 4:12 French: Louis Segond (1910)
Et si quelqu’un est plus fort qu’un seul, les deux peuvent lui résister; et la corde à trois fils ne se rompt pas facilement.

For those who didn’t understand what I meant, here it is. If a rope of 3 strings is not easily broken, think of a rope of 10 strings or even more. Would it ever break? This same apply to friendship for me. Its true that God is our only true support, but when he himself encourages friendship, so we need to make lots of friends. But be sure to befriend the right persons, think well before you befriend someone, else it might cost you a lot.

I hope that this article would help my friends understand what i do expect from them and what they can expect from me.

Cheers……

After so much hesitation and waiting, I finally decide to go for a laptop. My brand new Laptop Dell 1525 Jet Black, reached my design lab today (my parents just returned from Bangalore) and i want to thank Rajeev (my brother) who has taken the painstaking job to get a good deal for me in Bangalore. i got some time to checked it briefly and am very satisfied with it (though some of you may say that the processor T5850 doesnt support virtualisation, bt who cares? am not going to use virtualisation for the moment). Now i will have to install some greedy software on that to check the performance, etc… Below are two pictures of my lappy.

The Specifications are:

  • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo T5850 2.17Ghz
  • Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280×800)

  • 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz

  • Size: 250GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)

  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

  • High Definition Audio 2.0

  • OS: Genuine Windows Vista® SP1 Home Basic Edition

  • System Color: Jet Black

A big thanks to Rajeev for the good deal, my parents for some finance and above all God for this wonderful gift…

After so much hardwork and patience, the new Louanges Des Iles website is finally out. I had to work out till late at night to get the website done within some weeks. Am quite satisfied with the design and now we are moving in a greater dimension.

I met king online and sent him the new links, he was very happy with the work and is eagerly waiting for the launching of it. I’ve worked it out in php and MySql mainly…I started with ASP before but as i had to use a windows server that doesn’t have a control panel and much more facilities, i switched back to the Linux server. Long live linux!! For those who don’t know the site, here is the link www.louanges-des-iles.com. While you are there don’t forget to sign the Guestbook and comment.

Three new features have been added. The view lyrics where you can download your lyrics, the Newsletter to get yourself register to us and the Team Profile where you’ll get the profiles of the team.  When i’ll have time i’ll update it and put some new features more.

Meanwhile i take your leave..

Hi everybody,

I finally decide to blog…Its long time i wanted to have my blog but due to time constraint i couldn’t maintain one….i was just chatting with my university friend Sundeep on Msn messenger, when we decided that it’s truely time to blog..A day to remember, 11 March 2008… The start of my blog!

Today i didn’t go university,i stayed home to do the challenging assignments set by our lecturers, throughout the day i focused on the modeling of my character for the Maya assignment. At first the main characters of my scene was a fork and a spoon which i modeled using poly, then i found it a bit too simple and said let’s go for something more challenging, I spent some time to learn how to model using nurbs. The results were surprising! I’ve modeled a biped humanoid model which look great but i have to refine it to make it suite for the character i want in the animation scene. I also learnt how to make “rigging” on the eyes of the character and apply aim constraint so that i can control the eyes when animating it. This character has brought some changes in the story of the film to be produced. I’ve contacted Vikesh (my project partner) about the changes to be brought and now we’re set for something more challenging. Below is the picture of the character i modelled using poly, its very very very simple, later when i complete the more complex character i will post it on this blog.

Being a graphic designer the more am using Maya, i find it “very very nice”. I’ve used 3ds Max before and i can say there’s so much difference between these two. For those who dont know what Maya is, don’t take it for my girl friend…hehe..here is some text from Wikipedia

“Maya is a high end 3D computer graphics and 3D modeling software package originally developed by Alias Systems Corporation, but now owned by Autodesk as part of the Media and Entertainment division. Autodesk acquired the software in October 2005 upon purchasing Alias. Maya is used in the film and TV industry, as well as for computer and video games.

In 2003, Maya (then owned by Alias|Wavefront) won an Academy Award “for scientific and technical achievement”, citing use “on nearly every feature using 3-D computer-generated images.

Unfortunately i missed the flag raising ceremony as well as the mega show today, but I would like to repeat the wonderful words i came across on our famous lecturer Avinash’s Blog who quoted SRK in one of his interviews:

“Patriotism is when you do your best to succeed in whatever field you are. It has nothing to do with holding the flag of your country and singing glorious songs.”

I think that’s all for today friends…
Will write again soon..
